Where Image Becomes Language
Ty’s black and white lenticular work explores the tension between portrait and perception. Each piece reveals two distinct layers: a digitally hand-painted image that subtly dissolves into a second portrait composed entirely of text. As you move, form becomes meaning, inviting viewers to engage not just with what they see, but with what it says.
Hi… I’m Ty
Ty Fischer is an internationally awarded photographer and visual artist whose work centers on portrait-based storytelling. Blending striking handcrafted digital paintings with personal narratives, Fischer’s art forges a powerful intersection between image and language.
Grounded in community engagement, through his “Your Story” projects, his large-scale projects illuminate voices often overlooked, transforming public spaces into platforms for shared reflection, empathy, and resilience. Through inventive formats such as lenticular diptychs and layered text-based portraits, Fischer creates emotionally resonant experiences that are both visually arresting and socially meaningful.
Whether exhibited on city walls or within museum galleries, his work invites viewers into a dialogue that lingers beyond the frame, honoring individual stories as collective memory.
